Per ESPN and the News, Rich Rodriguez has agreed to pay the full $4 Million buyout, but without having to pay any interest or legal fees to West Virginia.
This should resolve the issue, and I wonder if West Virginia fans will ease the vitriol towards their former headman, now that he isn’t engaged in legal wrangling with his alma mater. I kinda doubt it (I think their anger was over being dumped by Rodriguez, and the suit gave a good excuse), but we shall see.
At any rate, this should be the end of the entire ordeal, and everyone associated with Michigan football can stop worrying about this, and focus on football.

I applaud Rich Rod, this was the classy thing to do.
Yeah he needed to get it out of the way before fall camp even if he believes that he’s right
The thing to remember is that wvu sued RRod, not the other way. RRod questioned the $$ amount, for whatever reason, and wvu filed suit. No talks, nada. They wanted this, not Rod.
I am not suprised the University did not tell him to ‘Git er done’, but when the Pres and AD were certainly going to be deposed and called to testify, now the University WOULD be dragged into it, and possibly drug through the mud. And 4 million is not worth that. So I’m sure they then ‘suggested’ that this go away.
