Welcome to the New Varsity Blue

Welcome to our new place.  Make sure to take your shoes off before you come in.

A couple things to point out:

  1. Links to the recruiting boards and personnel info are on the top left.  Check out the boards if you haven’t; we’re constantly adding video and notes about the recruits.
  2. In addition to tags, we’ve added categories.  For example,  all the recruiting updates and commitment announcements are under Recruiting. Podcasts/photo libraries are under Media.

We’ve had this up and running for a while, but both Tim and I are a bit close to the project and, more specifically, run OSX, so if anyone notices something off or not working with IE6 or any other paleolithic browser, leave a comment on this post.  Beyond that, let us know what you think and of any new features you might want to see on the site.  It’s obviously still evolving and we have a lot more freedom on this site.

Hope you all enjoy the new digs.

UPDATE: I think I solved the issue the right sidebar in Safari. Can someone with IE5/6 chime in and let me know how it looks? Also, if someone wants to let me know how it looks on a mobile device, that’d be great.

The top right tool bar in blue (it might be an add) you really can’t see in IE6. All I see is Blue letters on a black background. Good luck with the new site.

I like the new site….streamlined and easy to find what your looking for

Feature I would like to see added:
Eligibility broken down by position. An easy way to view depth at a position and see what we need in the future. Something similar to what is found on http://www.mgoblog.com/content/michigan-depth-chart-class-0 would be cool…

It looks like it’s doing it on WebKit as well. Unfortunately those programs don’t have error checking tools like FireFox. I think I know what the problem is, but I’m not sure. I’ll try to fix it soon.

Rock on guys, this is great!

I’m running safari and it looks like there might be a broken link right under the Bookmark link on the right side. I agree that the links on the right are a little difficult to read, but to me, not the end of the world. Great new look!

Looks great. Opera running under Linux and BSD has the same ‘top right tool bar in blue’ problem and Dillo is all messed up (but Dillo destroys most sites). Other than those two (and Dillo doesn’t really count), everything looks good in the linux & FreeBSD world.

I have a problem with the recruiting boards under IE7. When I click on a name it brings up the popup window, but it doesn’t show any content at all. Just a blank window.

I have to run IE 6 and the right side bar issue is still there. (assuming the yellow line running through the posts is the issue). Thanks for all the work on the site.

Could someone with IE6 take a screenshot and e-mail it to me? I don’t have access to 6 at work. (e-mail is panel1382 at gmail dot com)
